  43.   Chapter 8.4.2 clarification:
  44.      * dbDIAL doesn't care if you type uppercase or lowercase letters.
  45.        "Widget" is the same as "WIDGET" or "widget".  EXCEPTION: the tag field
  46.        recognizes "b" and "B" as different characters.  If you search on the
  47.        tag field, use the correct uppercase/lowercase character(s).
  48.      * Search data must start in the first position of the given field.  If
  49.        you specify one or more values to search for the "tag" field, dbDIAL
  50.        will search the entire tag field for occurances of those values.  This
  51.        way you can find a record with "abCDe" in the tag field even though you
  52.        entered "C    " as the search criteria.

  54.   Chapter 13 clarification:
  55.      The "File/Filter/Criteria/Regular" data entry screen works the same as if
  56.      you wanted to find a record with the "Record/Find/Regular" command.  This
  57.      includes the way dbDIAL recognizes values in the tag field (see the above
  58.      clarification to chapter 8.4.2).

  60.   New chapter: dbDMerge utility

  62.      DBDMERGE.EXE appends the records from one or more dbDIAL databases to a
  63.      master database file.  The syntax for using dbDMerge:

  65.                        DBDMERGE  masterfile  dbdfile  [dbdfile...]

  67.        masterfile   the name of the dbDIAL database which will absorb records
  68.                     from other databases.  You can specify a drive & path if
  69.                     you wish.  dbDMerge will create the file if it doesn't
  70.                     already exist.

  72.        dbdfile      the name of a dbDIAL database file to append to the master
  73.                     database.  You can specify a drive & path if you wish.

  75.      The program displays a copyright notice and various status messages while
  76.      it works.  The total time for the program to run depends on the number of
  77.      records in the secondary database file(s).

  81.     "I don't have expanded memory.  Can dbDIAL's TSR portion use extended

  83.         The program can use extended memory directly if you load Microsoft's
  84.     free HIMEM.SYS device driver or some other LIM XMS device driver as part
  85.     of your CONFIG.SYS file.  dbDIAL can use extended memory even if you don't
  86.     have a LIM XMS device driver: consult your DOS manual for information on a
  87.     device driver usually known as RAMDISK.SYS or VDISK.SYS.  Set up a RAMdisk
  88.     in extended memory and tell dbDIAL to use it like a regular disk drive.
